- äitiysavustus - maternity grant
- äitiyspakkaus tai rahaa - maternity package or money
- äitiysraha - maternity allowance
- erityisäitiysraha - special maternity allowance
Syntymän tai adoption jälkeen - After the birth or adoption
- isyysraha - paternity allowance
- vanhempainraha - parental allowance
- lapsilisä - child benefit

- vanhempainpäivärahat - parental allowances (an umbrella term for all other allowances)
- raskausraha - pregnancy allowance
- erityisraskausraha - special pregnancy allowance
- vanhempainraha - parental allowance
- vanhempainraha osittaisena - partial parental allowance
